Arena to be Re-Released

Yes, that’s right. Bethany House, having recently returned to me the publishing rights for my first novel, Arena, meant it was available to other publishers who might be interested in releasing it. It wasn’t long before Enclave Publishing picked it up for an updated, re-release under their banner. Thus for the last couple of weeks, I’ve been reading through my original manuscript and comparing it with the final published version, looking for things I might change to make the writing clearer.

Throughout this period I’ve been in a partial state of disbelief, but yes, it really looks like it’s going to happen! Stay tuned for further developments and the cover reveal!

WOOOHOOOOO!!!!! That’s so exciting!! I just found a hardback copy of Arena that I purchased last week. Lol I’m going to have to get this version too . This is one of my all-time favorite books. I love that I can read it and get something different out of it each time. You are a gifted writer and have a beautiful depth of understanding of the Bible. Thank you!
I hope the cover has some mario mushroom rocks on it! 😉
    Congratulations!!

Awesome, Karen! So happy for you. Loved Arena and it’s time for a reread with the re-released version. As one of my favorite writers of my favorite books (Legends of the Guardian King series ❤️), I want more folks to enjoy your books! Thank you for being faithful to the call to write.

Congratulations Karen! Just this past Sunday I was praying for you and your unfinished work and thanking God for how you have blessed me with all your books. Love Arena and the Light of Eidon series. Read them over and over.

Thanks, Joy. I appreciate your prayers and am delighted to know you’ve enjoyed my books — enough to read them more than once! As one bookworm to another (who also rereads books), I love it.

This is great news! I remember I read Arena soon after it first came out–I was working at a school library and the librarian said, “You have to read this.” She was right to push it, because it was great. I’ve read and reread each of your books since–they gave me a completely fresh look at Christian fantasy.

That is great news! I was pretty excited when Enclave rereleased Arena, I can’t wait to see the new cover! I actually just finished rereading Arena and GK and they truly are some of the books that have stayed with me from a spiritual perspective. The Shadow Within is my favorite, the interplay between the dark and the light inside each of us displays such enduring truth.

I’m so excited to read an updated version. Arena’s 1st release was my first read in Christian Fiction/Fantasy, I was hooked! I’m hoping for an audiobook version as well. Maybe a movie adaptation.
