Quote of the Day: John Adams

He might be arrested in some states today. Oh how far we’ve come…

“We talk of liberty and property, but, if we cut up the law of self-defence, we cut up the foundation of both. . . . If a robber meets me in the street, and commands me to surrender my purse, I have a right to kill him without asking questions.”     ~  John Adams

I remember this incident too, Kyle. The story I read, I believe quoting from the police report was a bit different from this one that you linked to. In the one I read, the Good Samaritan had gotten out of his car and confronted the man about the purse… Thanks for the link.

I have a hunch you enjoyed Gingrich in the debates. So did I. Sadly, the hypocritical left (who as a rule DO NOT aspire to morality) will throw his past at him. I often wonder how David would have done in these debates? lol

Poorly! David would have done poorly — not so much in the debates themselves, mind you, just the commentary afterwards. So would Abraham and Jacob and Moses and Solomon… and Paul.
